(For Halloween:  Boiled Thumbs in Blood Sauce)

 

Ingredients:

-Jumbo Prawns (peeled and de-veined)
-3/4 cup ketchup (use 1 cup if you want less spice, ½ cup for more spice)
-2 tbs. fresh or store bought horseradish
-1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
-1/4 cup lemon juice
-1 tsp. onion powder


Directions:

1. Place defrosted or fresh prawns into boiling water for 1 to 3 minutes.  Shrimp will turn pink when done.  Remove prawns from water before they start to curl.  Drain and cool.

2. Combine ketchup, horseradish, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice and onion powder in a bowl.  Refrigerate for at least an hour.

3. Salt to taste.

4. Add a pretty garnish and serve with shrimp.
